Little Guy is the WORST, though. I know Linda really likes the caps you talked about, but I'm a cheapskate. I discovered with the Beast that bandanas also work GREAT. I fold them so they look like a sweat band. (Does that make sense?) I tie them over his ear, making sure to leave the microphone part uncovered. If you tie it tight enough, it takes them MUCH longer to get the aids out. And, with bandanas as cheap as they are, you can have one for every occasion.AimeeTheSuperMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11536525065566856647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4787246892905439456.post-90984015049815570242009-09-26T19:17:22.576-07:002009-09-26T19:17:22.576-07:00Yes, expensive chew toys. I had little motivation to wear them either, and right before surgery, he didn't wear them at all. He's doing just fine now too :)PolyglotMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10359518388037465144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4787246892905439456.post-26610763292741600442009-09-26T14:11:22.241-07:002009-09-26T14:11:22.241-07:00At his young age it's definitely hard to tell ...At his young age it's definitely hard to tell what benefit, if any, he is getting from those hearing aids. But with time and therapy you may start seeing some responses, so please keep those hearing aids in! My David kept pulling them out too, but we tried always to keep at least one in at all times. 6 months later, we have our CI surgery scheduled, but David is responding very well to sound...and he hasn't pulled out his aids in months. You just never know.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12924176156806802753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4787246892905439456.post-44701246594512424042009-09-26T07:22:46.465-07:002009-09-26T07:22:46.465-07:00I meant to write that Lily was NOT getting much be...I meant to write that Lily was NOT getting much benefit from the hearing aids. :)Lily's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15784536164131789981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4787246892905439456.post-90223577622214255742009-09-26T07:21:42.379-07:002009-09-26T07:21:42.379-07:00I remember those days. Sometimes I even took them off at 4:00. The feedback drove me crazy! I don't know what your audi says, but mine said since she was getting much benefit from the aids (we had already had a sound booth test) that we could leave the aids in a few hours a day and that would be enough to stimulate the hearing nerve. We wanted to keep the nerve stimulated so it would be ready to accept sound with the CIs. We've been really luck that Lily hasn't tried to take the CIs off. Probably because she can actually hear now! Good luck. The Hanna Andersson caps are definitely worth it!Lily's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15784536164131789981noreply@blogger.com
